✦BrumScene says...

Birmingham's 'diamond in the rought'. Everyone knows Birmingham has more miles of canal than Venice - we just haven't quite figured out what to do with them since the end of the industrial revolution. They are, in fact, a microcosmic history of the city. Stroll along the right parts and your views will move swiftly from modern developments to concrete industrialism to rural splendour within a few hundred yards. The University Locks development and along Princip Street in the Jewellery Quarter suggest the city - or at least developers, are waking up to the possibilites of leveraging this sleeping asset of the city.
